forest land only 15 minutes from Tupper Lake you will find peace and
solitude. The Naturalist Cabin is yours to rent by the week of for the
weekend. Just down the road from the Raquette River with 100s of miles
of flat water and white water canoeing, Thousands of acres open state
land to explore. There are trails to hike and mountains to climb or
enjoy a campfire under the stars at night.

hire a naturalist for evening entertainment or hire
an Adirondack guide. The cabin has two
bed rooms (each with a full size bed) and a huge open loft for the kids.
Lots of board games and cards and a lot of land to discover in this hidden
part of the Adirondacks.
We also have the ability to
board your horse (as many as four) at Last Straw Stables.

Little Wolf
Beach & Campgrounds, situated on Little Wolf Lake is an ideal recreational
spot to spend a few days or a few weeks. Owned & operated by the Town of
Altamont, the facility features 52 campsites with stone fireplaces—28 with
electricity & sewer is located about 1 mile off Route 3 West in downtown
Tupper Lake. Caretaker, concession stand facility & a playground for
children complements this area. Also located here is the town beach that
features a large sandy beach & a shady picnic area with picnic tables &
fireplaces. A patrolled swimming area is marked off, & Red-Cross trained
life-guards & swimming instructors are on duty through the summer months.
