The Grove Point House was built by Royal Mead of Chestertown in 1880. They worked all winter. Mr. Mead built it for Mr. Henlow. He ran it for five years. When Mrs. Henlow died he sold it to MacKenzie, it was run successfully for years until MacKenzie fell ill and it became vacant and later burned to the ground.
