Built by Richard Jackson,1863. This hotel was first known as the Artic Hotel. Jackson owned it until about 1880, and then several people owned it. William Goulet bought the hotel in 1910. In 1947 Dewey Brown, an African-American golf pro, bought the hotel and nearby golf course, and ran them until his dealth in 1973. The building was torn down in 1976.
