| The Anibal House was
well known fishing and hunting lodge operated by Leon Anibal. His father,
Captain Sam Anibal assisted in the operation of the hotel and was the last
surviving veteran of the Civil War in Hamilton County. Built in 1910 by
Truman Lawrence it was the Anibal House from 1925 to 1946, when it
became Haskell's Hotel. It was destroyed by fire in 1978. |
